Ms Colleran’s 5th Class have fun exploring Data

Data

Our 5th Class pupils have been busy gathering information and carrying out surveys on a variety of topics, from favourite subjects, favourite foods, favourite movies, preferred sports to pupil shoe size. They carefully recorded and represented their findings using tally charts, bar charts and pie charts. This hands-on activity helped the children practise important mathematical skills, such as interpreting data, comparing results, and presenting information in a clear and visual way. It also linked directly to the Maths curriculum, allowing them to see how numbers and statistics are used to understand the world around us.
