Mr Fahy’s 4th Class get to Grip with the New Primary Maths Curriculum
Mr Fahy’s 4th class are given plenty of opportunities to experience maths from real world situations. Today they explored data using examples from GAA. First they watched a presentation including different county jerseys. They had to tally up the numbers of jerseys from different counties. Then they had to construct a bar chart using this information. Finally they constructed their own questions from the data and gave them to their partner to answer. Through authentic activities, they see the reasons behind learning and enjoy the process accordingly.
