Ms Coen’s had a lovely visit to the library. We got to read books and play with jigsaws and duplo. It was great fun.
Ahead of Space Week, Second Class had a special “Book Blast Off” where they explored a wide variety of books. Laid out on the tables were: picture books, Roald Dahl favourites, spooky stories, graphic novels and factual reads.
Some of our standout favourite titles from the event included:
The children loved sampling new genres and sharing book recommendations with friends. It was a fantastic way to get everyone excited about reading. They had a blast!
5th Class visit the seashore
5th Class pupils enjoyed exploring the sea shore searching for hidden treasures! The children loved discovering stones of all shapes and sizes, smoothed by the sea, and shells in every colour, from creamy whites to soft pinks and purples, each one with its own unique pattern. The sea shore was alive with little sea creatures from tiny crabs scuttling sideways across the rocks to little shrimps darting about in rock pools. The children left the shore with sandy shoes and happy smiles.

First class had an amazing time on their school tour recently. They took the bus to Glendeer Pet Farm in Athlone and stopped off at Supermacs on the way home! 🐣🐰🍔🍕

First class have been enjoying the sunshine with some ice cream and a teddy bear picnic! What a fun way to finish off the year ☀️ 🍦

The children in 2nd class went to “Let’s Go” activity camp in NUIG on Wednesday. It was an action packed day, full of activities! The children had the best day!
Fifth Class students from Ms Hanniffy’s class enjoyed a visit to Ms Conneely’s Junior Infants class.
