Well done to Mr Mulvaney’s 6th class on their lovely Christmas art.
6th class welcomed Sergeant Alan Keane to Scoil Íosa, who spoke to them about the importance of safety within their community. He also highlighted how staying safe online is just as important as being safe in the real world
.

Junior Infant teacher, Mr Ryan’ s brother Daniel has been an engineer with the Red Bull Formula One team for the past four years. They are currently rolling out a schools initiative that gives pupils an opportunity to learn about Formula One in an engaging, hands-on way.
As part of the visit, students were able to see the equipment drivers wear, explore the electronics used in the cars and learn about the engineering and technology behind the sport. Daniel would also brought race-worn items, including helmets used by drivers such as Max Verstappen.
This proved to be a hugely engaging and enjoyable learning experience for 5th and 6th class pupils. Many thanks to Mr Ryan and his brother Daniel.

Ms. Black’s 6th class visited the library to meet author Dave Rudden.
He gave the class inspiring advice and tips for their creative writing.
