“Celebrating the 6th class students who have lived out our school community values of kindness, inclusion and empathy in this school year. They have been wonderful ambassadors for Well Being in our school and we wish them continued success.

Congratulations to our Olympian who recently won 4 gold and a silver medal. Your determination, effort and resilience are an inspiration to us all. We are all very proud of you.

At this morning’s assembly, our Olympian spoke to her classmates and teachers about her experience. Her confidence, positivity, and enthusiasm shone through as she reflected on her success and encouraged others to always try their best.
Ms O’ Driscoll’s Sixth Class worked incredibly hard throughout the year preparing for their production of Aladdin. Their commitment and dedication were especially impressive as the entire play was performed as Gaeilge, adding an extra challenge to their rehearsals and performances.
The pupils took part in Féile Scoil Drámaíochta, competing against schools from Galway city and county. The first round of the competition took place in Inverin, where Sixth Class delivered an outstanding performance. Their hard work was rewarded when they came first in their category, securing a place in the next stage of the competition.
Adding to their success, Donncha McKernan, who played the role of Aladdin, was awarded Best Actor. This was a wonderful achievement and well-deserved recognition of his talent, confidence and dedication.
The class then progressed to the second round of the competition, where they performed against schools from all around Connacht. Once again, they impressed the judges and secured a place in the All-Ireland Finals in Mullingar – a fantastic achievement and a testament to the hard work and commitment of every pupil involved.
While they did not take home the top prize at the All-Ireland Finals, reaching that stage of the competition was an incredible accomplishment in itself. Each and every member of the class was fantastic throughout the journey, representing the school with pride, enthusiasm and teamwork.
We are extremely proud of all the pupils for their dedication, perseverance and outstanding performances. Comhghairdeas mór leo ar fad!

We had a lovely trip to Turoe pet farm. We got to feed some of the animals, went on the inflatables and had lots of fun with our friends!

The only thing sweeter than the races today? The ice-cream at the finish line.
Our Junior and Senior Infants had a fantastic sports day filled with fun, games and a very special visit from the ice cream van. Please watch the highlights below.
What a phenomenal Sports Day we had with our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd classes! The children showed amazing determination, teamwork, and, most importantly, had heaps of fun. After running their socks off, the sound of a familiar chime filled the air… The ice-cream truck had arrived! 🍦🚚 Every child got to enjoy a delicious cone to cool down after all their hard work.
Check out the video below to capture the magic of the day.
What a fantastic Sports Day with our 4th–6th classes — sunshine, great sportsmanship, and lots of smiles! A big thank you to everyone who helped make the day special, and extra sweet thanks to the ice cream van — every pupil enjoyed a cone. Check out the highlights in the video!
Today, we were privileged to host our annual Blitz in honour of two remarkable members of our school community—Donal Greene, past pupil, and David Saunders, beloved staff member.
David was an exceptional teacher whose legacy lives on in our school. As a child, he was diagnosed with cancer and underwent leg amputation, but this never diminished his spirit or determination. David was a passionate sportsman who represented Ireland on the amputee soccer team before his illness
returned. We speak of him often—his courage, his dedication to students, and his unwavering positivity continue to inspire us all.
Donal was a past pupil of the boys’ school and is held in the highest regard throughout our community for his outstanding contribution to sport. We are immensely proud to host this event in his memory and to celebrate the values he embodied.
Our sincere thanks to Betty and Sean Greene for their generosity in providing refreshments and
goodie bags for all players on the day.
This Blitz is more than a sporting event—it is a celebration of resilience, community, and the
lasting impact of two extraordinary individuals
