Mr Fahy’s 4th class combined maths with a delicious hands-on activity by making Christmas crêpes to consolidate their learning on capacity. Pupils measured, poured, and compared ingredients, applying their maths skills in a practical and meaningful way.

A fun and tasty approach to learning that helped reinforce key concepts while spreading plenty of Christmas cheer!

🎄 Maths in Action this Christmas with Mr Fahy’s Class! 🎄

Mr Fahy’s 4thclass has been learning maths through practical, real-life Christmas scenarios, bringing numbers to life in a fun and meaningful way. Using Micro Maths from Oide PMC, pupils explored concepts such as budgeting, problem-solving, and calculations through festive activities that reflected real-world situations.

This hands-on approach helped students deepen their understanding while staying engaged and motivated. A great example of how practical learning can make maths both enjoyable and relevant—especially at Christmas time! ✨

Seachtain na Gaeilge in Mr. Fahy’s Class

Mr. Fahy’s class had great fun learning Irish through fun activities. They especially enjoyed the art work and the table quiz.

4th Class Christmas Performance

4th class entertained the school community and the wider Oranmore community with their renditions of Yellow by Coldplay and Santa Claus is Coming to Town. It was a truly inclusive performance as children used Lámh sign language. The staff and parents were very proud of the effort of all the children.
